Kids Corner
Hartsville Fire Department would like to remind families about the importance of teaching fire safety to children. Teaching fire safety can save lives and is very important to instill in youth. Families are always welcome to set up a tour of the Fire Department by calling our office at 843.383.3000. Parents are also encouraged to check out Sparky's School House online for more fire safety activities.
False Fire Alarm Fee Schedule
The False Fire Alarm Fee was implemented by City Council to help decrease the amount of false alarms that are called each year. By servicing your fire alarms, you can help prevent them from triggering false alarms. Responding to so many of these calls each year is costly to our department and to those that we serve.
Number of Offenses per Calendar Year | Fee |
---|---|
1st Offense | No Charge |
2nd Offense | $100 |
3rd Offense | $200 |
4th Offense | $300 |
Adopt-A-Hydrant Program
The Adopt-a-Hydrant program allows city residents to apply creative paint designs to hydrants, beautifying our streets. The Fire Department must approve all designs before painting. Designs should be tasteful and not include advertisements, nothing may be attached to the hydrant and the cap color must remain the same. Applications to adopt a hydrant may be turned in at the Fire Department, 111 S. Seventh. St.
