Planning and Zoning Department – City of Hartsville
The Planning and Zoning Department develops and implements strategies to enhance and preserve Hartsville’s quality of life. By promoting orderly and controlled development, the department ensures the city’s current and future needs are met. Responsibilities include:
- Managing zoning regulations and permit issuance
- Overseeing annexations
- Developing the Comprehensive Plan in coordination with the Planning Commission
- Ensuring construction and renovation projects comply with state guidelines, ICC standards, land use ordinances, and local regulations
